Why Big Business Loves the Modern Day Democratic Party

In order to beat back the romanticized, lionized portrait that is being painted of the late Ted Kennedy, we might talk about the same old criticisms: horrors of Chappaquiddick, his efforts to embolden the Soviet Union in thwarting Reagan’s victory in Cold War. We could talk about his getting kicked out of college for cheating or about his destroying the reputation of a great man and would be great justice, Robert Bork. But anybody could read these stories and draw their own conclusions. So let’s examine the senator where he arguably had the most success. This was his institutionalization of big government rhetoric in the modern era.

When you think of the mega-rich, what first comes to mind? Pinky rings? Country Clubs, maybe that gosh awful Tommy Bahamas casual wear?
Well if you thought hard about it hard enough you would realize that what most successful businessmen have in common nowadays in this era of king-sized government it’s that day they fell ass-backwards onto easy street by way of the insidious “Government Contract.”

The following is a summary of one of the most disingenuous mantras being promulgated by Democrat Party leaders amongst their mindless followers:
The difference between the Democrat and Republican Party is that the Republicans represent and fight for the rich and the powerful with the Democrat Party represents the “little guy” and the common people. Therefore, all the non-rich and non-powerful should support taxing the rich in order to create big government social programs which will distribute the nation’s treasury more favorably among the common man, after all aren’t we all really the “common man.”

It was difficult to even type such illogical blather. In reality, the only beneficiary of big government programs help is big business. Big business loves big government. In fact out of control government is a greedy businessman’s dream client. Imagine having a client with no sense of reality regarding his budget or how much he can spend on your product.

Instead they have a deep desire to forge lasting relationship, making you their number one because they need you just as much as you need them. Such is the relationship between modern day politicians and big business.

This is not free-market capitalism as envisioned by Adam Smith and here’s why. In this situation, big business isn’t producing a product to sell to the masses they are being forced on the masses by politicians. They haven’t benefited society by producing something of original value. They are not forced to compete with other producers which results in low prices and proportional profits--just in case anyone was wondering the real reason CEO salaries were out of control. This is a result of having a client, the government, who doesn’t care about anything but what you can do for them. As a result they are distorting the market just as the Marxist would.

So you can imagine the nationwide state of euphoria felt by big business contract-makers when the stimulus bill passed this last winter. They love this stuff; they are the best friend big government ever had. It’s small business that hates big government. It’s small business that supports free-market principles because it’s their only hope, they are generally of little value to politicians and thus have no seat at the table to feast on the endless distribution of the nation’s treasury. However, even the small businessman can sometimes work out a deal with a local leader on a tit for tat basis. You really can’t blame either party in this situation; therefore, the best government involvement in private industry is always no government involvement.

Moreover it’s the “common man” who stands to lose in this game of government largess. When Big business is not forced to compete in the free market, prices inflate the dollar is devalued and budgets all over America are stretched to exhaustion. The rich hardly notice the difference. Maybe you wondered why every poverty stricken major city in the US is saturated with big government liberal Democrats. Its vicious cycle and the Liberal Lion, Ted Kennedy has probably done more to promulgate this lie than anyone in history, what a legacy.

so true!...thanks for your willingness to address the subversive efforts of the democratic party leaders as they spread their damnable mantra, under the guise of actually seeking the betterment of the common man, and coercively exploit the trusting, and all to often ignorant, minds of the American people into believing that they actually care about their well being and that their way can actually work better...sickening!!!
