Some Reasons to Take Heart: We Are Right and They Are Wrong.

Michael Steele has been elected RNC Chairman. This is a great pick. He is a great communicator, bold, and quick witted. We haven't had one of those for a long long time. Response from the media: "well I guess the Republicans are trying to counter the election of the first black president from the Democrats." I guess we should be grateful they didn't dive right in to the "Uncle Tom" comments. Meaning, you can't really be black unless you are a mindless drone of the left. It is always fun to watch the left try and convince blacks to start supporting gay marriage, and idiotic environmental policies. "You mean that's what you Democrats care about".

We are winning the war over loony government spending. It didn't take more than two weeks for the Democrats to load up the stimulus bill with pork for liberal special interest. Instead of putting out an actual stimulus package for spending on infrastructure, something that every single American supports and which would snowball the creation of jobs, Democrats chose spending on things like replacing the grass on the National Mall or billions to study STD's and Global Warming. So really we are talking about putting liberals back to work. So I guess we can expect a sharp up-tick at "Whole Foods" and Volvo Dealerships but not much else.

This should explain why the media has taken to brow beat the Republicans for not voting for the bill. Lets think about this for one second. Why Democrats even care about getting any Republican votes? They have an overwhelming majority all they have to do is kick Republicans aside and push the bill through, and why wouldn't they, they are all absolutely convinced that the bill will fix the economy. Why not push the bill through then when it works they will be the heroes and it will be able point to the silly Republicans supporting "Big Oil" and could not see the genius of supporting "Big STD".

Well, hopefully the reason is obvious to everyone, but if its not you should know the reason why the Democrats and particularly the Obama administration does not want to be only ones supporting this bill is because even they know this crap doesn't work it is a way to pump their liberal pet projects full of cash while its for the gettin.

So, for the first time in a while we can all sit back, smile and be proud to be Republicans again.

Glad He Was There

Words cannot describe how little I care about what current popular opinion has to say about our 43 president. All I know is that earlier this morning an indescribably uncomfortable feeling came over me when I realized that as of twelve noon on this day, George W. Bush would no longer be my president.
I think that before the conservative movement can truly plan for future leadership, we need to come to terms with the man who has lead for the past eight years.
The Bush Presidency's effect on popular opinion has all the irony of a Greek Tragedy. Bush's greatest achievement is keeping America safe for the past 7 1/2 years. Ironically, this lead to a dramatic reduction in public concern for the threat of terrorism. Lower concern translated to a dramatic reduction in the tolerance and understanding of what is sometimes necessary to properly prosecute a war. He is the same man the country who stood on the ruble and on the pitching mound in New York after 911. He never changed but we did. We embraced the Bush Doctrine when we thought it was necessary to keep us safe and we rejected it when we misguidedly thought it unnecessary.
So George Bush left office the same way he came in, met with a total lack of class and understanding by the American Left.
We were told non-stop today that there was a magical feeling of bi-partisanship and unity over the masses of people who gathered at the nation's capital. BULL CRAP! Any good will was destroyed when the crowd erupted into booing and mocking chants when when Bush was introduced. These classy people even booed at Laura Bush and even American war hero George H.W. Bush. There is no doubt in my mind that there was not one person in the crowd with one-fourth of the honor as the elder Bush 41.
I guess we are all supposed to be gratefully that these people discovered patriotism, that they like this whole America thing. I say we were a great country before these people gave us there blessing on patriotism.
Despite how people feel about this president, and even some of my brethren on the right have there doubts, no one will ever convince me that he is not one of our finest presidents.
The truth is we should have used the president on the 2008 campaign trail telling his side like only he can. We still would have lost, but I hated having to put up with an apologetic front for the man and policies that have created a beacon of freedom in the middle east and kept us safe at home. I hope nobody on the right feels that they have to apologize for our 43rd president.
For me history has already vindicated the Bush presidency but for those who have yet to reflect logically, they will have to explain to me how someone can give exulting praise to our 16th president and denounce our 43rd. One of these two presidents instructed one General Sherman to blaze a path of destruction through the Southern States to win a civil war. This same president suspended habeus corpus to all enemy combatants and threw newspaper editors in jail to face military tribunals who criticized his administration's prosecution of that same war.
He did what was right regardless of public opinion and for that the country owes George W. Bush a dept of gratitude. Thanks W.

Hey Dems, Why so Racist?

Its not every day that Democrats fall into their phony race batting traps they have been setting for years. So in times like this, it is important for all of us to sit back and enjoy. And maybe even egg it on a little.

Who would have thought Harry Reid would be guarding the door way of the all-white Senate chambers like Bull Connor turning the dogs on the lunch counter sit ins in the segregated south.
The rumor is, if they do allow Rollin Burris on the senate floor, he will under no circumstances be allowed to use the same drinking fountain as the others in the all-white senate. I am embarrassed that you Democrats can't find one person of color to serve in the US Senate.

As much as I would like to continue down this road, the reality is Reid isn't so much racist as he and the Dem. leadership are just trying to have things both ways. They wanted to distance themselves from Blagoavich but didn't rally want a special election because Democrat fatigue is already in full effect around the country before the new congress was already sworn in, they would run the risk of losing the seat.
